Trainee Educator – Float Position

About the Opportunity
Are you looking to begin a meaningful career working with children? At Keymer Childcare Centre, we’re excited to offer a Trainee Educator position for someone who is kind, enthusiastic, and ready to learn.

This is a float position across all 4 rooms (0–6 years), giving you a unique opportunity to gain experience with different age groups while being supported by a welcoming and knowledgeable team.

As a trainee, you’ll be supported to complete your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, while gaining hands-on experience in a real early learning environment.

We’re a warm and welcoming, community-owned centre in Colyton, caring for up to 76 children aged 0–6 years.

For over 50 years, we’ve been creating a nurturing, play-rich environment where children and educators can thrive. We’re a team that works hard, supports one another, and has a lot of fun along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting educators across all rooms in daily routines and learning experiences
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and your team
  • Assisting in creating engaging, play-based learning environments
  • Learning how to observe and document children’s development
  • Developing your skills and confidence as an early childhood educator

Who We’re Looking For

  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliability, initiative, and a team-focused mindset
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Requirements:

  • Current (or willing to obtain) Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
