About the role

We are seeking passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our team at Green Gables Kindergarten in Sans Souci, NSW. Part-time, full-time and casual positions are available offering flexibility to suit your availability. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and educational experience for children in our care. You will work collaboratively with our team to implement curriculum-based activities, support children’s learning and development, and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families.

Key responsibilities

  1. Supervise and care for children in accordance with our duty of care requirements and relevant legislation
  2. Plan, prepare and implement age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that support children’s development
  3. Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting their learning and development milestones
  4. Maintain a safe, clean and organised learning environment that promotes exploration and creativity
  5. Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding their child’s wellbeing, learning and behaviour
  6. Support children’s personal care routines, including feeding, toileting and hygiene practices
  7. Model positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development
  8. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent practices and high-quality care delivery
  9. Maintain confidentiality and comply with centre policies, procedures and legislative requirements

What we’re looking for

  1. Minimum Certificate III level qualification in Early Childhood Education is required
  2. Current First Aid and CPR certification
  3. Working with Children clearance must be obtained before commencing employment
  4. Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and ability to implement play-based learning approaches
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  6. Patience, compassion and genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
  7. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
  8. Demonstrated commitment to child safety, wellbeing and protection
  9. Previous experience in an early education setting is an essential requirement
